NOTE: Check out the multiple rebuttals from the business owner to all the negative reviews. I definitely don't agree with the "customer is always right" policy and cowering from your actual feelings when replying to an issue. But, I'd think twice coming to a restaurant that didn't use low reviews as a tool to reform spots they lack in, and instead, tell reviewers their opinion is allowed but essentially invalid.
TL;DR - food was pretty good, service could use improvement.
We showed up to a lightly busy atmosphere at 2:12pm on a Sunday with the bar obviously being the busiest with a single bartender working it. About 6 or 7 workers on the floor with 5 tables running.
After 6 minutes of standing behind the "please wait to be seated" sign, someone came up and asked if we had been helped after every single other worker made eye contact with us but didn't even acknowledge us waiting. We were seated at 2:21pm
Another 6 minutes later we were greeted by our waitress, Brittany. She took our order but on the spot forgot my girlfriends order because she was "frazzled". After leaving to put in the order, she returned to verify that I ordered a Catfish Po'Boy - I did not. She guessed again with the shrimp - I did not. I then gave her the answer of a Crawfish Po'Boy. Why you wouldn't write down orders when you're "frazzled" or forgetful to make sure your patrons don't have a messed up order is beyond me.
At this time, I don't feel like our order will even come out correctly. 15 minutes after the order was placed our food arrived.
Crawfish Po'Boy - thankful it's actually Crawfish. 😂
Fried Catfish Platter - missing hush puppies and coleslaw
The food was good and had good flavor. I'm not a Cajun connoisseur or anything, but Po'Boys are pretty hard to mess up.
I did watch Brittany take more orders without taking notes from larger groups and people left standing at the hostess-less stand waiting to be seated for at least 5 minutes at a time. One excuse was that they've been "so busy they needed to reset" even though in the hour I've been in the business, it was empty when we showed up and is just now increasing in business after 3pm.
I find it really hard to give 1 star, but this experience probably was. Gumbo's been on my mind for months, and a friend that travels to LA monthly will bring back some AMAZING food from the same supplier Bourbon Street stocks their retail shelves with..
Food is LIFE! I've been looking for something enticing, good, fresh.. of course, I didn't expect BBQ shrimp equivalent to those of Pascal's Manale, but when I say "$18 for this dish has to be a joke" is supported by the picture alone. The jambalaya - it just isn't fresh. It tasted how cat food with seafood protein smells.. not recommended.
Why are the products on the shelves NOT represented throughout the restaurant for patrons to use? Why was Slap Yo Mama the only dry seasoning that could be offered other than sauces - that aren't even sold there, by the way...? It was old, for the record - seasoning changes color over time, y'all..
Only positives were the cold beer, my girl's strong drink, our bartender recognizing our disappointment in the food, & that the shrimp weren't over or undercooked... otherwise this is unsatisfactory if you're looking to satisfy your creole/cajun cravings.
We had an excellent meal! Loved all the dishes. Felt like New Orleans. And Jabri was a wonderful server. He took great care of us and recommended the perfect dishes.
The food was amazing. My Sister and Brother in Law loved their dishes as well. We will be back for sure. I loved the fish tacos.
We tried Bourbon Street for the first time tonight and had a great experience. I'm from New Orleans and it's nice to find a taste of home in Bedford. Pasta and seafood were cooked perfectly, shrimp were big, and everything tasted awesome. Service, price and menu options were all excellent. We'll be back!
Came in today with my kids! Raine took care of us. We ordered fried crawfish and it was AMAZING! Service was great, everyone was so friendly and Talena the manager even brought toys out for my kids to play with while we were waiting on our food! 10/10 recommend, we will be back for all you can eat brunch on Sunday!
I've been there a few times to check it out. I know that they've had several other locations, one in Colleyville, one in the Colony, that failed. Food is okay. Service was decent - no customers. Unfortunately the place is vast and has been …
A was my first time here with my family.
